The NSPCC Tour of Yorkshire is a completely unique, 182-mile multi-stage sportive that will put YOU at the very heart of the action.

The route will take in some of Yorkshire's most beautiful countryside, and include closed road sections, timed hill climbs of Boltby Bank and Hanging Grimston, plus optional racing at the fantastic new circuit at York.

Entry is open to men and women and you'll ride in seeded groups, escorted by motorcycle outriders and serviced by domestiques, with support from an experienced team of mechanics, soigneurs and first aiders.

You can choose to race against others; work together in a group; or use the event to raise money for the NSPCC.

However you do it, this is a hard, long challenge, requiring dedication, commitment and months of training. But our team will be there to support you every mile of the way.

There'll be a spectacular Yellow Jersey Dinner at the University of York with a delicious menu plus raffle, presentations and a special guest speaker.

Places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. You can self-fund, ride for charity or enter a team.

Featured climb

Boltby Bank

According to Simon Warren in his book 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs, Boltby Bank is “the hardest route up onto the North Yorkshire Moors”. And it’s our choice of timed hill climb for Stage 1 of the 2015 Tour of Yorkshire!

This is a tough, iconic climb out of the small village of Boltby, a tough slog that includes a number of 1-in-5 and 1-in-6 sections.

But upon reaching the top you’ll be rewarded with some stunning views of this beautiful part of the world.

Petit Tour

Tour of Yorkshire – Petit Tour

Taking place on Sunday 19 July, the Petit Tour is a shorter, ever-so-slightly-less challenging version of the main tour, and designed to allow everyone the chance to take part in the NSPCC Tour of Yorkshire.

A more traditional sportive, the Petit Tour will start & finish on the circuit at York Sport Village, and follow large sections of Stage 2′s stunning, scenic route over a 50 mile course.

Entrants will receive a free tour jersey (worth £45) and goody bag, plus benefit from chip timing, comprehensive mechanical & medical support, changing facilities, free parking and much more.

Race circuit

York Sport Village

The brand new closed road cycle circuit at York Sport Village is a perfect venue to host the Tour of Yorkshire, and all riders will also start and finish each stage with a processional lap of the 1km circuit.

The circuit will also be the venue for our comprehensive programme of race coaching and training rides, free to all entrants.
